(Australian Press Association.) DEATH SENTENCE. SYDNEY, Sept. 4. Charles Jackson, charged with the murder of Richard Aloxcy, cabled on June 10th. was found guilty and senteikVd to delath. No evidence was called for the defence, but Jackson, in a statement from the box, asserted that Aloxcy had been guilty of abominable offences towards him, and that ho (accused) was intoxicated on the day of the murder, and lie only had a hazy recollection of firing at Aloxcy. SYDNEY, Sept. 4. •
At the conclusion of the Jackson trial, James Dent, whf> was changed with having incited to murder, was released from custody, following on the application of tlio Crown Prosecutor.
HANCOCK MURDER, CHAPMAN CHARGED. SYDNEY, Sept, 4. Aubrey Chapman, who was found with his throat cut hv a razor, beside tlie barmaid, Mrs Hancock, whose murder was cabled on Saturday, was charged in the hospital with the murder of Aire Hancock. A special Court as held at his bedside. A DELEGATE’S' DEATH. SYDNEY, Sopt. 4. The death has occurred here of Monslgnor Bourke,; YLcar-General of the Rockhampton Diocese. He was 54 years of age. He was visiting Sydney for the Eucharistic Congress. He became suddenly ill on Sunday.

Obituary.—Nutson, the aeroplane victim (cabled yesterday). His companion Scott behaved heroically, although himself badly injured. He dragged Nutson from the burning plane and then walked a long distance through crops and boggy country to a lonely farmhouse, where he obtained assistance. The accident was due to bad visibility, the aeroplane striking a hill-top.
