From the Referee reporting the ltossRitnu match a draw. This necessitates another play-off for the Breeze Shield. From Ross Club wrote asking that the return train to Ross on September 12th ho delayed to leave Hokitika after arrival of Grcymouth train, enabling Ross people to see the All Black v. West Coast match at Greymouth .—Received.
From Hokitika Borough Council granting sole right to Cass Square to Westland Sub-Union on occasion of Canterbury-West Coast match on Saturday, September Bth.—Received. It was resolved to notify J. Griffiths that fourteen days would he allowco for appeal against the Union’s decision.
From Excelsior Club notifying visit of Cronnduii team on September Bth. 1 —Received. It was resolved to notify the ground was not available on that date.
It was resolved to submit the names of Messrs McManaway, J. Coulson, Heonan and Cutbush as referee for Saturday’s match. It was resolved that the Kiwi-Ex-celsior match for the Fowler Cup b# played on September loth at 3 p.m., and that the Excelsior Club be notified that September 22nd was available for the Cronadun match. It was resolved the Ross-I!imu tie match for. the Breeze Shield be played on September 22nd. It was resolved to ask the Mayor to proclaim a holiday on Saturday .from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Prices of admission for the Canterbury match wero fixed at men 25,. ladies Is, children Gd. The President, Secretary, Treasurer, Messrs D. Dowell and F. McGregor were appointed to complete the arrangements for Saturday’s gome.
