Middlesex followed on, making 223 for G (Haig GO, Euthoven not out 54). Kent won on the first innings.
Leicestershire, first innings 242 (Sidwell G 5, Coleman 54), Lock 4 for 34; second innings 241. for 4 (Bradshaw not out 88, Armstrong not out 83). Surrey, first innings 422 for G declared (Hobbs 101, Shepherd 70, Darling not out 111). Surrey won on the first innings.
Yorkshire, first innings 433 (Oldroyd not oat 162, Robinson 59, Wood 09). Glamorgan, first innings 107 (Bell 82), Macauley 7 for 57. Glamorgan followed on, making 154, Rhodes taking 0 for 56. Yorkshire won by an innings and 112 runs.
Hampshire, first innings 287 (Mead 50), Bowlcy 5 for 71; second innings 160 for 5 declared (Lovscy 55, Mead ,02). Sussex, first innings 130 (Bowley 03), Kennedy 4 for 47, and Boyes 4 for 20; second innings 183 (Wensley 102), lioycs 0 for G 4. Hampshire won by 134 jams.
Derbyshire', first innings 163 (Hopwood 5 for 71) ; second innings 105 for 3 (Jackson not out Gl). Enucitshire. first innings 287 for 3 declared (Watson 122, Hallows 117). Lancashire won on tho first innings.
West Indies first innings 311 (Browne GO, Small not out 98); second innings 260. Harlequins, first innings G7G for 8 declared (Burton 52, C. Knott not out 2GI, Bettington 127, Evans 124). Harlequins won by an innings and 105 runs.
For Nottinghamshire against Worcestershire Gunn made 90 and Carr 64, while Yoe took 4 for 24, S. Staples 4 for 37, and Larwood 5 for 42. For Worcester, -Gibbons made 57 and Root 93. Notts won.
For Somerset against Warwickshire, Hunt made 54, and Whit© took 6 for 71 and 4 for 29. For Warwickshire Parsons took 4 for 28 and 4 for 17. Somerset won.
