WEDDING BELLS
MILLNER—HAISTY
The Church of the Sacred Heart, Ahanra, which was beautifully decorated for tho occasion by girl friends of tho bride, was tho scene of a quiet, but pretty wedding on Wednesday, when Lilian, eldest daughter of Air and Airs James Haisty, of Blackball, was married to William James, only soil of Air and the late Airs Alillner, of Hokitika. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father O’Afeeghan, and the “Wedding March” was played by Airs AV. Clayton. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, ,wlm subsequently gave her away, was charmingly attired in a dainty frock of coral pink georgette, made with tight-fitting bodice, while the picot-edged skirt was scalloped at tho sides to form the fashionable uneven hem line. A long scarf of georgette was finished at the ends with ermine and caught with a brilliant clasp. With this was worn a pretty close-fitting hat of pink silk straw, the upturned brim of stitched crepe do cliene. A dainty shower bouquet of pink freesias and maiden-hair fern completed a charming ensemble. In attendance was one bridesmaid, Afiss Alay Haisty, the bride’s sister, who wore a pretty sleeveless frock of biege erepe-de-chene, with yoke and insets of Guipure lace, and picture hat of beige silk straw, trimmed with velvet ribbon and flowers to tone. Her bouquet was of delicately tinted spring flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Air .F. Robertson, of Otira, as best man. After the ceremony a few relatives were entertained at the residence of the bride’s aunt, Afrs Fox, who was wearing a smart frock of navy satin, with hat to tone. The bride’s mother wore a model frock of mole embroidered georgette, with fox fur and pretty spring hat. Airs Kiely, the bridegroom’s sister, was wearing a navy erepc-de-chene frock, with hat of beige straw. Later, when Air and Airs Alillner left by car on the wedding tour, the latter was wearing a model sleeveless frock of navy georgette with touches of fawn, finely-pleated hackami front, from a yoke of navy crepe do cliene. Over this was worn a coat of navy French corded, silk, trimmed with fawn, and tied at the neck in a how. The hat was of fawn silk straw trimmed with navy c-ire ribbon.
