(By Telegraph —Per Press Association.) THE HOUSE. WELLINGTON Aug. 29. In the House of Representatives the afternoon was spent in discussing reports. At the evening sitting the second reading of the Summertime (Local Empowering) Bill, Judicial Proceedings (Regulation, of Reports) Bill, and Engineers’ Registration Amendment Bill wer read a second time. The Licensing Amendment Bill (Mr Mason) was referred to the Industries and Commerce Committee. The House rose at 11.40 till 2.30 p.m. THE COUNCIL. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. Thames Borough Loan Rating Adjustment Bill was reported from the Local Bills Committee without amendment. i Clirists’ College (Canterbury) Bill was read a second time without discussion. Surveyors’ Registration Bill and Property Law Amendment Bill were received from the House and read a first time.
'Magistrate’s Courts Bill and Inspection of Machinery Bill were received from the House, read a first and secern! time pro fount and referred to tlm Statutes Revision Committee. The Rabbit Nuisance Bill was also received from the House, read a first time and second time pro forma and referred to the Agricultural and Stock Committo.
The Surveyors’ Institute Amendment Bill and Surveyors’ Registration Bill were read a second time. The Law Practitioner Amendment Bill (Hon MacGregor) was also read a second time and the Council adjournecL
