Olivo Gotherdnm (Seattle) was second. Fiftytwo competed. WOMEN SWIMMERS. TORONTO. Aug. 29. Ethel Hertie, tlie swimmer who is only twenty years of age. gets ten thousand dollars, and Olive Gatterden, second, received three thousand dollars. Ethel Dawes, Denver, third, receives one thousand'dollars. Miss Ederle and Mrs Carson (Channel swimmers-) failed to finish in the money. Eleven quit the race.
