Australian Press Assn.—United Service 19 MILE WOMEN’S MARATHON. TORONTO. Aug. 29. Ethel Hertie (New York) won the ton m ile Wrigley Women’s Swimming Marathon at Lake Ontario. Olivo Gotherdnm (Seattle) was second. Fiftytwo competed. WOMEN SWIMMERS. TORONTO. Aug. 29. Ethel Hertie, tlie swimmer who is only twenty years of age. gets ten thousand dollars, and Olive Gatterden, second, received three thousand dollars. Ethel Dawes, Denver, third, receives one thousand'dollars. Miss Ederle and Mrs Carson (Channel swimmers-) failed to finish in the money. Eleven quit the race.
