The broadcast of a photograph from an aeroplane was successfully accomplished here for what is believed tobe the first time in history. The photograph was that of Colonel Charles Lindbergh and it' was broadcast while the plane flew high over the city, The broadcast was received on more than 100 special sets in various localities of the Philadelphia district.

Shippers have quickly taken advantage of the cut cargo rates between -Montreal and New Zealand, in what appears a rate war between the Canadian National steamships and the New Zealand Shipping Company.
