No word lias yet been received here from Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith as to the date of starting the Tasman flight. It was originally fixed for Saturday next. It is possible the Southern Cross may come over that day.

SOUTHERN CROSS FLIGHT. ADELAIDE, August 28. Tiie Southern Cross has departed en route for Richmond, New South )\ ales, on the last stage of the flight from Perth to Sydney. SYDNEY, August 28. Tile Southern Cross landed at Richmond late this afternoon, thus completing the flight from Perth. Ideal weather was experienced throughout the last stage from Adelaide.
