Tlie pairs competition was won by Messrs Stevenson and Benjamin after a. fine series of games, the Greymouth pair, Messrs Moss and Graham, being the runners-up. This year tlie annual tournament falls to be played at Hokitika, and it will be necessary for the Club to make suitable arrangements for tlie occasion. The preparation cf the green has already been put in ha ml. The presentation of a pair of silver buttons was made by a visitor to tbe green during the season, Air Batchelor, for two bowl pairs, and the first game was played at the end of the season. As on all previous years lady supporters gave great assistance throughout the season in connection with afternoon tea for practices and match occasions, and these services were always appreciated by visiting teams and local members. Their efforts in connection with the annual hall made that another success. The coming season should prove a busy one, and with special attention given to the green, tlie playing surface should again prove satisfactory as it: was last year under the capable care of the green-keeper, Air Alex Krakosky. —Received.
