EVERYBODYS PICTURES.

“THE EIRE BRIGADE” TO-NIGHT.

“The Fire Brigade” Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s spectacular fire drama which is now showing at the Princess Theatre, was made as tho result of an afterdinner talk between Fire Chief Stevens and Louis B. Mayer, vee-president in charge of production at the MetroGoldwyn Mayer studios at which Chief Stevens suggested that this company should produce a movie designed as entertainment that would at the same time carry a powerful message on behalf of fire prevention. In “The Fire Brigade” therefore, Metro-Gold wynMayer lias produced a powerful and intensely dramatic romance in which every phase of a fireman’s life is interwoven with, powerful unforgettable drama. Patrons of the "Th-in cess Theatre will see a very human and beautiful love story too, of which the fire scenes are an integral part. May McAvoy plays the feminine role, and she is ably supported by a number ol favourite featured players. The picture was directed by William Nigh in conjunction with Fire Chief Scott. A Topical and Comedy and two spools of “The Collegians” will complete the display to-night. Patrons are in for a good laugh on Wednesday next when they see Syd Chaplin of “Charley's Aunt” fame in his latest big special entitled “Oh What a Nurse” one big scream.
