Russell, I Mitchell, N. Inglis, K. Martin. WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. At the weekly meeting held at Greymouth last evening the Secretary was instructed to write Merivalc Club, inviting its senior team to play at Jloki- | tika and Grey. Information was received from the New Zealand Union to the effect that B. A. Griffiths had been expelled from tile Rugby code. The Westland Sub-Union advised that J. Griffiths had been disqualified for five years. It was decided to ask the Sub-Union if Griffiths bad boon given the customary fourteen days’ grace for right of appeal, before reporting to the New Zealand Union. It was decided to congratulate F. Freitas on bis selection in tbe All Black team to play New South Wales in tbe first test. It was resolved to offer congratulations to the Westland Football Association on its success in tbe Dawson Cup contest. It was decided to write to the Canterbury Rugby Union with a view to arranging a curtain raiser between Coast and Canterbury junior teams for tlie All Black-N.S.W. third test on September 15th. Kuimua and United A teams advised that they had not nominated for the junior knock-out competition. It was decided that the players in these teams bo advised that they could play in any other junior club team.
The following fixtures were approved : Seniors.—Excelsiors v. Stars, at Hokitika, 3 p.ni. ; Kiwis v. United at Park. 3 p.m., referee, ATr T. AlcTntosbV.
