On Friday, the result of heavy rain, says the “Lyttelton Times,’’ the Tvaikoura inland road from AVaiau was impassable. In view of the facts that have recently come before me I would suggest you reinstate Miss M’Donald and convey to her that her resignation was brought about on account of a misapprehension on the part of your hoard in that it did not know the facts that led to her resignation.” After a lengthy discussion the board decided to adhere to its previous decision. The secretary was instructed to communicate with one of three applicants for the vacancy, and failing her acceptance to readver-’ tise the position.
