Australian Press Assn.—United Service MISSING MOUNTAINEERS. SYDNEY, Aug. 17. A day long search for the lost alpinists, Seaman and Hayes, was fruitless. A large party of ski club members have left Sydney for Mount Kosciusko to participate in the search. An aeroplane with Pilot King and an observer are helping to-day. The lost men have been without food since Tuesday night. WESTRALIAN EMIGRATION. PERTH, Aug. 17. The Primary Producers’ Conference passed a resolution in favour of unrestricted Southern European migration from which rural labour could be recruited. The West Australian Government recently decreed that money advanced to fanners should not be used in employing foreigners.
