FOUND HANGED.
CHRISTCHURCH, August 16. Arthur Foston Drayton, aged about sixty, a well known Christchurch business man, was ‘found dead to-night, hanging from a rafter in the premises of Dainties,' Ltd., Biscuit Manufacturers. in which firm he was interested. The deceased was best known as ManagerDireetor of the firm of Ashby, Bergli and Coy, ironmongers. He had not been in good health lately, and it is believed that he had financial worries. The deceased was at Ashby, Bergh’s to-day about noon, but he did not go home again during the day. Mr C. J. Jones, who was to have met Drayton in the evening, on hearing of this, informed the police, who found his car outside the “Dainties” premises. Inside they found the dead body of Drayton. The deceased leaves a widow and a family of four.
