In 400 metres free-style swim Charlton (Australian Olympic representative) was first, time 5.20, thus winning the French President’s pri/.e. Ault was second, and Vandeplnncke (France) third. The hundred metres swim resulted , nkntshi (Japan) 1, Spence (Canada) 2. Bourne (Canada) 3. At Tail tea nil (Nationalist) Insii sports, the hundred metres fiat resulted—First Heat: Warren (Canada.) 1, Carlton (Australia! 2; time 10 4-o. Final.—AYarren 1, Fitzpatrick -, Adams 3. All started. _ The Canadian’s time was 10 3-o, equalling Abraham’s Olympic record. Warren, who is comparatively unknown, won by a foot. 800 metres final.—Edwards (CanaclI mil) was first in record Tailteann timo of 112 1-5 seconds. Whyte (Australia) was third. The American, Joie Ray won the marathon of about twenty-three and a I quarter miles in 151 minutes.
