It is unfortunate that quite a number of Warn tails were unavailable for tho trip, write the Secretary of the New South Wales Union to tho New Zealand Rugby Union, owing to their already long absence on an overseas tour, hut we are sending you quite a good .side, which should give an excellent account of itself. Ihe forwards will be big and good nickers, one or two being extremely clever in the open. The backs are only youngsters, but are very fast and are capable of playing good open football. There are three Waratahs making the trip, Malcolm (half-hack) who lias .been chosen as captain, Towers (centre) and Judd (forward). Towers figured in all tho International matches at Homo and is still an outstanding centre in the State, both in attack and defence.
The players to make the trip are:— Full-back—Westfield. Wing three-quarters—Hemingway, Hamel!, White. Centre three-quarters—Towers, < aidwell. Bull, Burge. Five-eighths—George, Bartley. Half-backs—Snell, Malcolm. Forwards—Judd. Cereuitti, Connie, Thomson. O’Donnell, Phipps. O'Connor, Lamb, Bland, London, Roscn--1,1 um, Abbot, Bardsloy, Mumsie. Manager—Morgan. Connor, a- member of the Management Committee of the New South Wales Union will also accompany the team. PRINCE OF WALES' CUP. ROTORUA, Aug. 16. In the selection match for the Prince of Wales Cup between North Auckland! R lice by Unions, comprising North Auckland, Auckland and Waikato against a j team selected from the Bay ol Plenty and King Country, the coastal team won bv 13—8.
