Australian Press Assn.—United Service SKIERS LOST. 'Received this duv at 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 10. Two members of a ski club arc reported to be lost on the slopes of Mount Kosciusko, in lower New South Wales. They, with others, were caught in a blizzard on Monday night, and became separated from the remainder of the party, which retraced its steps through the snow to the Hotel Koscuisko. The whole ot the inmates, with the mounted police, organised a search party for to-day. NO CONFIDENCE MOTION. MELBOURNE, Aug. 16. A no-confidentc motion against the Hogan Labour Government in the 5 ictoriun Assembly was defeated by 35 votes to 28, several anti-Labour members voting with the Government. BOYCOTTING VESSELS. BRISBANE, Aug. 16. The waterside workers are boycotting different vessels at Cairns and Bowen. Those chiefly afiectcd are the Eumacus. Fiona. Orungal and Port Pirrie. The latter should be loaded with sugar and meat. Tile dispute is due to dissatisfaction with the recently announced award, and the employment of free labour on certain vessels during the recent cooks’ strike. I 1 fiction is reported also from l‘ reemantle, where watersiders are demanding concessions for unloading nitrate, bears are entertained of another maritime upheaval.
