(United Service.) H.M.S. AUSTRALIA. MONTREAL, Aug. 15. H.M.S. Australia sailed for Quebec to-day where it is expected Prince I George will visit the vessel. During the week end twelve thousand, people inspected the Australia at Montreal. THE KELLOGG PACT. (Received this day at Jl.O a.m.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 15. A message from Wausau, Wisconsin, stutes: "The Kellogg Pact holds a greater hope for peaceful relations I than was ever before given the world,” President C'oolidge declared to-day addressing the State American Legion. “The agreement proposes a revolutionary policy among .the nations, if those involved in it will lin- I ish it. Its provisions will prove one of the greatest blessings ever bestowed on humanity.” As to its power to maintain peace, the President assert- I ed, “had the treaty been in force in 1914 there is every reason to suppose it would have saved the situation and delivered the world from the ravages of war.” He maintained that by taking a leading position in securing an agreement, the United States had I proved its pacific inclinations towards all nations.
