Tlie House of Representatives spent the afternoon discussing the report of the Crown Lands Settlement, and in the evening the debate on the Budget was resumed by Sir John Luke, Mr Veiteh, Hon IJawken and Air J. A. Lee (Auckland East). The debate was adjourned on the motion of Mr Girling, and the House rose at 11.53 till 2.30 p.tn,
