FOOTBALL.
WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. The usual weekly meeting of the above Executive was held last evening at Greymouth. It was resolved to* again write the Canterbury Rugby Union inviting them for a match this season at Hokitika with either a Club or a Union representative team, and also to get into touch with Varsity re the same matter.
Accounts amounting to £BO 2s 5d were passed for payment. The New Zealand Union wrote advising the personnel of the South Island team, and it was resolved to notify Freitas (Hokitika) to proceed to Christchurch on 18th inst. Buller Union wrote suggesting several changes in the Primary School Championship Rules, and it was resolved to refer same to Air 0. AA illiams, to convene a meeting of teachers to present a report to this Union as to their views for or against the
propsoals. Arfhiir V. Ross was admitted fo the code, subject to the confirmation o"f the New Zealand Union.
It was resolved to post AA'. Beynon’s name to the New Zealand Union as being a revert to the League code. It was deeded to write and ask the Hawke’s Bay Union for full particulars of their methods of erecting their temporary stands, and asking the aftproximate cost of same.
Messrs Mclntosh and Scott were appointed managers of the Grey team to Hokitika next Saturday, team to leave by 12.45 p.m. train. Air A. Jamieson was placed in charge of the Grey juniors to play AVestland at Greymouth next Saturday, and it was decided to' ask the Blake town Club to supply the jerseys. GREY V. AVESTLAND.
The Grey team to play -Westland at Hokitika next Saturday is as follows: Nicholson; Brown. Fong, Clarke; Walton (capt.), Bunt; Jenkins: Ferguson; Dodson, Stevens, Jamieson, Caulton, Burley, Robinson, Fell. Emergencies: Back, “Barney” Brown; forward, Kear.
