The reading at 9 a.m. yesterday was 30.14 falling. PHASES OF MOON— AUGUST. Full moon 2nd 3.1 a.m. New moon 16th 1.19 a.in. Full moon 31st 2.4 p.m. HIGH WATER—AUGUST. Aug. 14. 8.50 a.m; 9.12 p.m. Aug.. 15. 9.32 a.m; 9.55 p.m. Aug. 16.—10.15 a.m; 10.40 p.m. UNION COMPANY’S LINE. The Kanna is loading coal at Greymouth for Auckland, sailing to-night. Tho Kaiapoi is loading coal and a quantity of poles at Greymouth for New Plymouth, also coal for Napier and Wellington, sailing to-night. The Balls-Head left Auckland last night and is due at Greymouth on Friday to load coal for the same port. The Kamona is due at Greymouth to-morrow morning from Wellington to load coal, timber and general cargo for the same port, also coal for Miramar. The Kaimai leaves Wellington tonight arriving at Greymouth on Thursday to load coal and timber for the same port, also timber for Miramar.
