There is every reason to believe that tlie worst of the troubles which disturbed the Samoan Administration have now passed or are passing, and although it is not very pleasant to think that our administration of Samoa lias excited the attention of the rest of tlie world, the only fault the League of Nations has found has been some weakness on the part of General Richardson in allowing unrest to 'develop, There is no reason to tie ashamed of the fact that the only' serious blunder we have made in our first experience of governing another people uas been to show excessive patience.— Christchurch “ Press.”
