Australian Press Assn.—United Service BEAM RADIO PROFITS. LONDON, Aug. 1. In the House of Commons, Rt. Hon. Mitchell Thomson, in answer to a question, said that tho gross receipts for the first full year’s working of the Beam Wireless Service to Canada, Australia, South Africa and India, had been about £470,000. The profit after charging for depreciation or interest on eopital, amounted to about £212,000. COMMONS ANNOUNCEMENT. Australian Press Assn.—United Service (Received this day at 10.40 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 2. It was announced in the Commons that the Government would accept the report of the Wireless and C.-'M"' Conference, and that it would shortly negotiate an agreement.
