Ziegler; The minutes were confirmed and correspondence outward approved. INWARD COR RESPONDENCE. From Nautical Advisor, Wellington, asking for returns.—Received. From Marine Department acknowledging letter with personnel of the Board.—Received. From Lambtnn and Co. sawmilleis, notifying winch was not suitable, and stating it was being returned, asking for refund on rent paid.—Received, it was resolved that the terms of the rental be enforced and no refund made.

From Hokitika Borough Council ; notifying that complaint about the (lumping of rubbish was receiving attention.— Received. I From .Midland Sawmill Coy. forwarding rent for 12 months for shed room. —Received. From Government Statistician asking for annual returns.—Received and .supplied. REPORTS. The Harbormaster reported the channel was running in a north-westerly direction with a depth of 11 to 13 ft.— Received. Accounts amounting to .£322 13s 5d ye re passed for payment. Reports from Capt. Raid and Mr. G. Davidson in reference to the repairs necetctaiy to the .signal station were received and it wtis agreed to invite tenders for the erection of a new supers structure, the masts to be made of corrugated iron pipes. The Secretary reported that repairs wore being effected to two of the timber skids and that there were two more required to facilitate the loading of the Zingnra.—Received. The Board discussed the boot place to erect the sheep-lauding pen. which would have to be removed if the two new skids were to he erected, and having decided on their removal adjourned to make a personal inspection and agree to a course of action. It was later agreed to shift the sheep pen to the lower end of the wharf. i The meeting then terminated. |
