His Honour congratulated the district on the lightness of the criminal calendar, there only being three indictments against two accused persons. True bills were found against Robert McConkcy for alleged indecent assault on girls of thirteen and fifteen respectively; Norman Ernest Stanley, allegedly sending a letter containing a. threat to kill. The criminal sessions of the Supreme Court opened to-day, Justice iSim presiding. Only two cases were presented one against a woman, Marion Koerbin of attempting to murder her husband hv poisoning and the other against Robert Rapley charged with unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under sixteen. In the latter case the Grand Jury found no bill. ■Tbe Grand Jury returned a true bill in the Koerbin case and evidence is being given on the same lines as in the lower Court. AUCKLAND, July 31.
