Peter McDonald was charged at tlio Magistrate’s Court yesterday, at Greymouth, with breaking and entering Henry Preston’s fish shop on Saturday night, and stealing a crate of mutton birds, valued at £2 10s. Senior Sergeant Roach applied for a remand till August 6th. In reply to the Magistrate's query regarding hail, the Sen-ior-Sergeant mentiond that accused had been sleeping out for the past two weeks. The remand was granted, no evisd being kept in custody.
