AUCKLAND, July 30.
The balance-sheet of the New Zealand Insurance Company, Ltd., for the year ended May 31 last, shows the net income from premiums, interest, and rents, amounts to £1,280,504. The surplus on the year’s transactions amounts to £210,793, and the reserve fund lias been increased by £75,000. The Directors recommend the payment of a dividend at the rate of eleven pence per share, absorbing £68,750, making Is lOd per share for the year, and leaving a net balance of £129,537 to he carried forward.
