Australian Press Assn.—United Service LONDON, July 30. Tlie utmost secrecy is maintained by the Marvlelxiiic Cricket Club regarding a batch of England’s eleven which, it is understood, were selected yesterday. Even the place and time of meeting have been kept a secret the only intimation available being to the effect that the names will not be issued until after the M.C.C. Cricket Committee meeting, some time next week. Everybody concerned appears bound to secrecy, but one or two not ill-in-formed quarters mention the names of Ames and Levland in addition to the names of seasoned veterans. ENGLISH CRICKET TEAM, 'deceived this dav at 10-15 a.m.l LONDON, July'3o. It is officially announced that the English Cricket Team is as follows : Chapman (captain), White (vioe-capt.l Jnrdine, Hobbs, Sutcliffe, E. Tyldesley, Hammond, Tate, Levland. Larwood, Ames, Freeman. Hendren, Mead, Duckworth, S. Staples and another will probably be added.
