GISBORNE RESULTS. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) GISBORNE, July 28. The annual steeplechase meeting of the Gisborne Racing Club was brought to a conclusion this afternoon. The weather was fine and the track in good order. The totalisator handled £15,062, compared with £12,113 on the second day of last year, an increase of £2,049. The total for the meeting was £26,701, against £21,079 last year, an increase of £5,352. Results : Gisborne Hurdles.—(2) Ballyfarnon 1, (7) Chrisna 2, (3) Merle 3. AVou by a neck; three and a-hnlf lengths. Time 2.55. Trial Handicap.—(2) Abisogno 1, (4) Bold Front 2, (l) Dishonoured 3. Two lengths each way. Time 1.18. AYaikanao Handicap.—(lo; Othon 1, (1) Cool Card 2, (2) AA T anderlust 3. AVon by a head; a neck. Time 1.47. Second Hack Flat.—(2) Singleton 1, (8) First Prince 2, (5) Tea Lady 3. AA’on by three-quarters of a length; two lengths. Time 1.33 3-5. Teliapara Steeples.—(2) Handy and Master Arch dead heat first, (6) Comedy Boy 3. Dead heat; third horse three lengths away. Time 5.30 1-5. Turanganui Handicap.—(l) Pale Star 1, (9) Night AYateh 2, (8) King AVillon.vx 3. AA’on by a nock ; three, lengths. Time 1.33 2-5. Farewell Handicap.—(9) Huiakai 1, (7) Otolm 2, (8) Superb King 3. AVon by two lengths; a neck. Time 1.17 4-5.
