It cannot be overlooked that since the price-fixation folly came to an end it has taken fifteen months wrangling to free the Dairy Board of all that it implied, and this with a majority of its members pledged to support free marketing This being the case, it seems eminently a matter for the amendment of the law under which the board functions. Otherwise there may come a time when other foolish experiments may be attempted. There is a growing feeling throughout the industry that the Government should this session see to it that further philandering with interests of the producers is rendered impossible by limiting the powers of the Dairy Produce Board to matters in which it has shown that it can be of undoubted assistance to the industry.—"Taranaki News.” - -
