ENGLISH COUNTY RESULTS. Australian Press Assn.—United Service LONDON, July 25. In the County cricket tourney, against Lancashire yesterday, Surrey in the first innings made 219 (Sheppard GO, Peach not out 94), MacDonald talcing 6 for 99, and R. Tyldesley 4 for 37. In tho second, Surrey made 258 (Sheppard 117), MacDonald taking 6 for 98. Lancashire in tlie first made 486 (lddon 184, retired hurt, and Ilalliday 90), Allorn taking 5 for 127. Lancashire won ny an innings and 9 runs.
Kent in the first made 376 against Derby (Ashdown 72, Crawley 109, Woolley not out 52) ; and in the second 312 for 4 declared (Woolley 198, Ames 62). Derbyshire in tho first made 331 (G. Jackson 75, Ford 64), Capes taking 4 for 53. In tlie second, Derby made 222 for 6 (Hutchinson 56, Storer 85). Kent won on the first innings.
Yorkshire in the first made 512 for 9 declared, against Essex (Holmes 53, Mitchell 80, Oklroyd 112, Rhodes 50, -Macaulay not out 67). Essex in the first made 193 (Cutmore 56), Rhodes taking 4 for 26. Essex followed on and made 101, Rhodes taking 4 for 10, Yorkshire won by ail innings and 215 runs.
Warwickshire in the first made 277 against Hampshire (Croom 74, Smith 50, Santall 57), Utley taking 6 for 43; and in the second 351 (Kilner 90, Bates 81, AA’yatfc not out 91), Utley taking 6 for 97-. Hampshire in the first made 536 (Kennedy 73, Hosie 95, Newman 84, Mead 180) ; and in Hie second 93 for 2. Hants won by eight wickets. Sussex in the first made 371 for 9 and declared, against Nortliants (J. Parks 75, Duleepsinliji 198, 11. Parks not cut 100).' Northamptonshire in the first made 158, Bowley talcing 8 for G2 ; and following on scored 210, Langridge taking 6 for 82. Sussex won by an innings and 203 runs. Middlesex in the first made 289 against Notts (Lee 04, Hendren 87), Barratt taking 6 for 93; and in the second 316 (Hoiidrcn 60, Lee 108, Bellington 82), Richmond taking 5 lor 121. Nottinghamshire in the first made 38S (Wliysall 61, Walker 63, A. Staples 82). Hurston took 6 for 70. Middlesex won I>v 13 runs.
Hendren is the first batsman to roach two thousand runs in the season. For Gloucestershire against Glamorgan, Seabrook scored 136 and Sinficld 61, while Parker took <! for 44. For Glamorgan, 801 l .scored hi and luinbull 50, while Mercer took 7 for 57. Gloucester won.
For Worcestershire against Leicestershire, W. Quaife made 67 not out, and Hill took 5 for 113. For Leicestershire Berry mado 207. Armstrong 63, and Sidwell 79, while Smith took 3 for 10 and 5 for 56, and Coleman 5 for 30, and Astill 4 for 54. Leicestershire
