Hagen, the American, is meeting Compston in a seventy-two hole match at the Sanely Burr course, for a 5003 dollar purse. Compston won the first 36 holes today. one up. He led in the morning , round. Hagen returned brilliantly in the afternoon, but Compston emerged the victor. The final 36 holes will be played to-morrow.
