V/EST COAST RUGBY UNION.

The weekly meeting was held at Greymouth last night. The Secretary of the Otago and Southland Association wrote extending an invitation to members of the Southland rep team visiting Greymouth on August 10th. to attend the Association’s re-union on that date. It was resolved that the invitation ba accepted, and the Association die thanked for same. The N.Z.R.U. wrote re B. A. Griffiths reverting to the League code, requesting that he be given 14 days’ notice to show cause why he should not be expelled.—Received. A circular letter was received from the N.Z.R.U. intimating that D. Bailey had been disqualified by the Mangatuka Club for disputing referee’s de.cisions, using obscene language, and assaulting the referee, the decision having been accepted throughout New Zealand.—Received. D. Tnnffe applied for re admission to the code. It was agreed to accede to the request subject to the approval of tho N.Z.R.U. Accounts amounting to £2 Is fid were passed for payment. It was agreed to accept Newmans Motors tender (£45) to convey the rep team to Nelson, and the members of the team leave Hokitika at 7 a.m., and Greymouth at 8.30 a.m. It was resolved that the President (Air Alan Adams) be appointed manager of the Seddon Shield team. Air I. Steel was appointed manager of the junior rep. team to visit Hokitika. It was agreed that the team travel by train, and that Blnketown bo requested to supply jerseys. It was resolved that all competition matches be postponed until Saturday week, and that the use of the Recreation Ground for next Saturday be offered to the Soccer code. Several members of the AVestlniv 1 Sub-Union waited upon the Executive to make representations concerning rep fixtures at Hokitika’.
