In the second Sussex made 270 for 5 (J. Parks 104, A. H. Gilligan not o.ut 75). Glamorgan made 409 (D. Davie not out 165, Hills 114), Hollingdale taking 5 for 74. Sussex won on the' first innings.

•Leicester playing Hampshire, made 235 in the first innings (Berry Cl), and in the second 363 (Bradshaw 77, Sidwell 59, Armstrong 107). Hampshire in the first made 180 (Tennyson 53), and in the second 213. Leicester won by 205 runs.

Northamptonshire in tho first made 302 against Surrey (AVoollev 89, Tim.se 88), and in the second 289 (Bellamy 118). Surrey in the first scored 530 for 9 declared (Hobbs 117, Ducat 54, Daily 51, Gregory 96, AVilson 93), ATatthews taking 6 for 103, and in the second 12 for 0. Surrey won by ten wickets. Kent in the first made 484 against AVarwickshire (Hardingo 88, Deed 103, Ames 113), and in the second 100 for 2. AVarwickshire in the first scored 513 (Smith 173, Bates 83, Groom 76). AVarwick won on the first innings. Somerset in the first made 227 against Notts (Hawkens 65, Barratt taking 6 for 65), and in the second 154 (Gaskell 63), Larwood taking 4 for 28. Nottinghamshire in the first made 393 (AVhysall 71, Geo Gunn 52, Carr 72, Walker 71. Notts won by an innings and twelve runs.
