HEALTH OF THE TEAM,

WELLINGTON, July 21

The New Zealand Rugby Union cabled the manager o£ the All Blacks the best of good luck in the second test and asked him to cable a report on the health of the team.

The following reply has been received :

“Thanks for good wishes. All members of the test team are fit and we expect a better showing to-morrow. Harvey is in hospital here (Johannesburg) for observation. Kilby leaves hospital to-morrow on crutches. M’Grcgor’s knee is improving. Burrow’s ribs are almost- right. All the others are well except for slight colds.”

The win of New Zealand on Saturday will add considerably to the interest in the two remaining tests. The third test is to be played at Port Elizabeth on August 18th. and the fourth at Cape Town on September Ist. Had South Africa won on Saturday a great deal of interest would have departed from the remaining tests, because the best that New Zealand could have hoped for would have been to make honours even by winning the remaining two. Now, howbvor, New Zealand has a chance for the rubber. The result of the third tost will naturally be awaited with a great deal of interest, but whatever the result of this match it will undoubtedly be the fourth test that will arouse the greatest amount of interest. This will be the deciding game, whichever way the third match goes. All eyes in New Zealand will be turned on Cape Town on September Ist.
