HE GAVE IT A GO !
A few days ago an Auckland business firm required a man for a special job. In response to advertisements, an active New Zealander strutted into tlie office and said he was prepared to take the position, though he was inexperienced at the work. He started work with diligence, and soon demonstrated that he was well-equipped for his duties. Indeed, lie was such a success thatrtho’manager of the concern, out. of curiosity, questioned him about his career, which- disclosed that he had always considered himself a manual labourer. “To tell you the truth, sir,” said the employee. “I had no idea I could do this sort of work, but decided to give this a go, and I have surprised myself.” The moral is that many are fitted for certain jobs in life if they have the courage and energy “to give it a go.” ' ■
