EMPIRE FORESTRY CONFERENCE.

Mr T. D. Pattulo, Minister of Lands in the defeated British Columbian Government, has cancelled his reservation on the Niagara for the Empire Forestry Conference. Mr P. Z. Caverill, Chief Forester, will go as the sole representative of Western Canada.

The “Times” Moscow correspondent states the relief expedition cost Russia fifty thousand sterling lost in freights alone, owing to shipping being deprived, of the services of the ice breakers Krassin and Malgyn. This does not include heavy running expenses and repairs.
