HOSPITAL BAIL
The best attendance yet at an inaugural meeting of the above was held in the Board room last night. The following attended:—Mesdames Breeze, Jeffries, Fane, Pilkington, Langford, Baird, Paterson, Parkliill, Benjamin, Davidson, Rowe, Heinz, • Buchanan; Misses Lewis” Holliday; Matron Lloyd, Nurse Castlehow; Messrs Breeze, Jeffries and Bruce.
It was decided to hold a, plain and fancy dress bnlL on Wednesday, Sept. sth., the Drill Shed to be secured for the occasion. It was .also decided to hold a, juvenile ball on the following night, Sept. Gtli. To encourage those likely to come in fancy dress, special prizes are to he offered for sets representing certain popular events or occasions. The prices are popular ones viz: 7s Gd double ticket ; ‘exits, ss; single lady. 3s. At these prices this is certain to he the event of the season, as nothing to ensure success will he left undone by the various committees appointed.
