WEST COAST RUGBY UNION.
The weekly meeting was held last evening at Greymoutli. Nelson Union wrote advising that they have written to the N.Z. Union asking them to appoint a referee for the Seddon Shield match on the 28th inst.
Newman Bros, tender was accepted for the conveyance of the West Coast team to Buller on Friday next. Resolved that J. MeCleary he asked to take charge of the southern members of the team for training purposes, non-attendance of members to he reported to Mr D. Dowell, selector. A complaint was received from the lnangahua Sub-Union in reference to selection of rep. teams, and also paucity of representative games in Reelton. Resolved to advise them that arrangements are being made for aUnited and Star Clubs combined team to play them on .Tuly 28tn or 29tli. "whichever date is suitable. The Secretary was instructed to call for tenders for conveyance of' team to Nelson. Mr J. Deere was selected as referee for Coast-Buller match on Saturday. Mr A. Adams was appointed manager, and it was decidecT to ask Selectors Dowell and Irving to accompany the team. Team to leave Hokitika 11 mm. and Greymoutli 1 p.m., bn Friday next. . , , Resolved to play first junior rep. game, Greymoutli v. Westland, at Hokitika, on July 28th.
The following team has been chosen to represent Buller against West Const at Westport on Saturday: Griffiths, O’Brien. Wells, Robinson, J. Beard, F. Scott, Quinn, C. Mclntyre, J. Mumi, Tunnicliffe, Caldwell, Stuart, McNeight, Clarke, Gardner. Emergencies: Backs Phipps, Allen, Green; forwards —Potter, S. Lamont.
The following team will he selected from to represent Kokatahi against Ross .at Ross on Saturday next:—S. Fleming. H. Fleming, B. Morel, J. Monk, Y. Pawson, J. Webster, B. W’oolhouse, l 7 '. Cutler, IT. Dimmick, F. Schist, S. Hnvill, A. Morrison, A. Stopforth, J. Marshall, A. McMiim, E. Morris, M. Wallace, C. Wcolhouse. Any player unable to/ make the trip please notify the secretary immediately. Cars leave Kokatahi at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday.
SOUTH ISLAND TEAM. The following players have .been nominated by the Golden Bay-Motueka vj.nion for inclusion in the South Island team to piny North Island at Palmerston North : —A. Lash and O. Roberts (Golden Bay), W. Sexton, J. Clark and A. Cowin (Motueka).
