CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—On behalf of the Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union we desire to return thanks to the many kind friends who assisted to make the Otago farmers’ excursion the undoubted success which it proved to be. Wo are very grateful to His Worship' the Mayor and the Citizens Committee, to Mr Morris, the Secretary of this Committee, to Mr D. J. Evans, County Clerk, to Hr Teichelmann. who never refuses to advertise Westland, to the ladies of Kokatahi, who filled the aching void, to Mr Carr, of the Rimu Dredge, not forgetting Mr Lewis, wlio assisted the ladies on hoard, to Messrs Newmans who made the trip to Glacier possible, to Messrs Peter and Alex. Qraham, who personally attended to the wants of our Otago friends, to Mr Barnes, who represented the Kailway Department, and to a host of other friends who extended the right hand of fellowship. We are, etc., THOMAS O’NEIL, JOHN MURDOCH, Organisers.
