At the Manchester British women’s championships tlie South African Olympic representatives, Miss Clarke, won the hundred yards hurdles in 13 4-5 seconds, a world’s record. The Japanese Olvmpiader, Kliitami, won tlie 220 yards, beating the world’s record heat in 25 4-5. Miss Gunn (British) won the long jump 2233 ienhes, a world’s record. PARIS, July 15. Seraphim Martin won the 800 metres French championship in 1.50 3-5 seconds a world’s record.
WELLINGTON. July 16. The Olympic Council has received advice that in tlie British women’s championships, Miss Wilson, the Nett Zealand Olympic representative, won a heat in the 100 yards in 11 4-5 seconds and was unplaced in the final, 11 3-5 seconds, close up to tho English girls Gunn.ltidgley and Thompson, who were placed.
