EVERYBODY'S PICTURES.

“ARIZONA BOUND” TO-NIGHT.

Particular interest attaches to .the showing of “ Arizona Bound,” which will bo shown at the Princess Theatre to-night since it introduces to the screen a new star in the person of Gary Cooper, elevated to the ranks of Paramount luminaries after a comparatively short term as a member of the organisation’s famous stock company. Cooper, a lanky, six-foot-two product of a Montana ranch, bids fair to reach the heights as oiie of the most popular of Western stars, in the opinion of Paramount officials, and is described as a handsome young actor who can act—a most promising player who gives every indication of becoming one of the real personalities of the screen.

"Arizona Bound” also introduces a new equine star, which bids fair to accompany its owner to the heights of popularity. “Flash” is a magnificent, cream-coloured Arabian, and is said to be the most beautiful steed yet used in motion pictures. The animal is highly trained, and lie and Cooper, his owner, are shown throughout the picture ns boon companions. Playing opposite Cooper in the leading feminine role in “Arizona Bound” is Betty Jewel, described by Emil Jennings as “ the girl with the velvet eyes,” while the principal comedy part is'in the hands of El Brondel, one of the screen’s newest and funniest comedians. The production was made under the direction of John Waters, who has achieved an enviable reputation as the director of numerous' Zone Grey stories released under the Paramount banner. Further chapters of the new serial “The Fire Fighters,” a topical and a good comedy also will be shown.
