RIFLE SHOOTING.

By Telegraph—Press Assn., Copyright. SISLEY RESULTS. (Received this day at 12.25 D.m.l LONDON, .July 11. There are 9.50 competitors in the first stage of the King’s prize. An innovation is made whereby shooting began at 603 yards, then five hundred ami finished at two hundred. The leading three hundred competitors will participate in the silver medal stage on Friday and the final hundred will shoot off on Saturday. Leading scores are:—Lieut. Burke (Canadian) 33, 35, 34, total 102; won Bronze medal. Lieut. Cullen 32, 34, 35, 101; Captain Smith 34, 32, 35, 101; Ray (Australia) 32, 34, 34. 100; Gore (Australia) 33, 32, 35, 100. Four others total were a hundred. Burke won a gold medal in 1924. Tlio other gold medallist competing include Sergt. Lawrence, who won in 1882.

When shooting began the conditions were fairly good, a bright light, steady wind and the sun warm, hut in the afternoon the heat was terrific, with no wind. Afost of the competitors found the conditions distressing. In the Bisley and King’s Prize Afatch. Fare, Harrison. Nelson, Pavcy, Quirk; Hay, Robinson and Nutt, a-lso Green with scores of 34 33, 30—total 97, qualified for the Second stage. Bleeehmore, Blurton and Alutton were among 105 competitors aggregating 93, who shot off for the last two places. Armstrong, AfcElwoo and AValker were counted out and Nolw-1 and Green 32, 33, 34—total 99.
