ALL BLACKS’ TOUR
KILBY'S INJURY
MANY HAVE THE ’FLU
(Special to Press Association)
(Received this day at 9.30 0.m.) MAFEKING, July 9
Commenting on Saturday’s match, “Die Burger,” the best-known Africans paper, said: “The. All Black attack'was greatly affected by the retirement of Kilby. The backs were completely demoralised. Stewart was a great weakness at centre, continually letting tlio opposition through. The match cannot he taken too seriouslj. The slow delivery of McGregor from the scrums gave the backs little chance.” . Kilby was X-rayed yesterday and it was found a small bone above the ankle was splintered. He will be m hospital at Kimberley for a fortnight. It is highly improbable that lie will play for the rest of the tour. The spin of bad luck sticks to the All Blacks, many members of the team suffering from slight influenza. The team is now on its way to Victoria Falls for a complete spell from football for a week. South African selectors are making their first official visit to Rhodesia, travelling with the team.
