From tlu opening shot which finds a gang ol crooks using an airplane for their nefarious smuggling operations to the final fadeout, with the girl, of course, in the arms of the flying ace, “Sky High Saunders” is a breath-taking, hairraising, mile-a-minute thriller through the full five reels. There is not a dull moment in the whole show. Al’s performance in this picture adds more weight to the claims of his thousands of fans anil followers who are confident that ho is the greatest, air acrobat in the profession. Just, one of the thrilling scenes is a. real light on the wing ol a ’plane two thousand feet in the air. He is surrounded by a small hut carefully selected east of seasoned actors and actresses, each one of whom contributes an essential part tp.' the completed pattern of the story.' This is the first of a series of four melodramatic air films under the supervision of William Lord Wright and the direction of Hrucc INI itchell.
The first chapters of the now serial, starring Jack Dougherty, “ the biro Fighters,” will also be shown on Friday, together with a two-reel comedy.
