A sudden change in the weather was experienced early yesterday morning, when snow commenced to lull, and l>,v daybreak the city and suburbs carried a thick mantle of simw. Light intermittent falls of snnvv fell during the day. and the thermometer dropped as low as 29 degrees. In the a Iternoon there was another change m torn vs ether, heavy rain fa’ling at internals, and the wind, which bad been 6 bt. increased in force, culminating ia a gale in the evening.
