The annual wool clip from an Angora rabbit is set down at £1 a year. The author writes enthusiastically, on fits subject. Valuable hints about the 'care and breeding are given. In connection with the visit of the Otago farmers to Hokitika next week, Dr Teiclielmann’s lecture on Scenic Westland will bo given in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening, commencing at 7.30 o’clock. In view of the limited capacity of the building the whole of the seating accommodation will ho reserved for the visiting farmers. Following the lecture there will be a social gathering at the Soldiers’ Hall where the visitors will he further entertained.

The death took place yesterday afternoon at Westland Hospital of Mrs Moynihan, the well-known settler of Kokatahi road, after a somewhat lengthy illness. Deceased was a. native of Victoria and' 61 years of age. Her husband predeceased her a number of years ago, being the victim of a blasting accident at Kokatahi. A grown-up family are left to mourn their loss. There are five daughters Mrs A. Rodgers (Nlgaruawhia), Mrs J. Mcßae (Hokitika), Mrs C. Friend (Hokitika), Misses A. and M. Moynihan (JCoKatahi), and four sons, Messrs D. Moynihan (Westport), T. Moynihan (Hokitiua), M. Moynihan (Kanieri) and R. Moynihan (Ko’katahi). Deep sympathy is extended to the family in their bereavement.
Ihe death occurred yesterday afternoon, at his residence. South Beach, of Mr James Anderson, an old and respected resident of the West Coast. Deceased, who had attained the ripe age of 83 years, arrived in New Zealand by the Jenai in tile year 1801, and followed the occupation of a miner. He later settled at L-smiploiigli, Stafford, and resided there for some forty years, being engaged on the the goldfieldsThree years ago lie removed to South Beach, Greymouth, and has since resided there. His wife predeceased him some twenty-three years ago. An only son, Janies, made the supreme sacrifice, there remaining one daughter, Miss M. Anderson, of the Health Department, Christchurch, to mourn her loss, and to whom sympathy will bo extended.
