AN UNDERGROUND DRAMA. PARIS, April 20. Hundreds of people going to work this morning wore horrified to witness a double tragedy at a Paris underground railway station. As a train was entering DenfertRoeherau station ,a man was seen suddenly to seize a struggling girl round the waist and throw her • in front of it. Then, lvefore anyone was able to interfere, he jumped on to- the rails himself. With the aid of the fire brigade the two mutilated bodies were taken from under one of the carriages. They were identified as M. Remain Cliquet, a Belgian, aged 33, and his wife. M. Cliquet, who became a widower three years ago, had married his second wife on the advice of the first. They seemed perfectly happy, and the motive of the double tragedy remains unknown.
