ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE.

W. JEFFRIES AND CO.’S REPORT.

There was a moderate attendance ol buyers at the above yards yesterday when Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. submitted to auction 58 head of cattle, a large proportion of which was cow and heifer beef. Prices were easier for all but prime ox beef which sold round about last sale figures. The following sales were made:— On account of V. W. Bonar 2 bullocks at £l3 17s 6d, 2 nt £l3, 2 at £l2 17s 6d, 2 at £lO 10s, 1 at £lO ss; on account Poerua Run 2 bullocks at £ll 10s, 2 at ,£lO ss, 1 at £lO 2s Cd, 1 at £9 , 3 steers at £7 17s 6d, 1 at £8 2s 6d, 1 -vealer at £4 10s, 1 at £2 Gs, 2 heifers at £9 ss, 2 cows at £9, 2at £-7 ss, 2at £B, 3at £8 15s, 2 ait £6 ss, 2at £6 17s Gd, 2at £B, 1 at £6 10s, 2 heifers at £9, 1 at £8 2s Gd, 3 at £7; on account of W. Bradley 1 heifer at £D 2s Gd, 2 cows at £4 ss, on account of R. J. Bradley 1 heifer at £7 7s Gd.

Messrs M. Houston and Co. report: At yesterday’s fortnightly sale at the above yards our entry comprised 63 fat slieep and 44 head of fat cattle, which were submitted to the usual attendance of buyers. The bulk of our yarding of cattle consisted of light and handy weight steers of good quality, which met with a very good sale, and averaged about 37s Gd per hundred. We sold as follows:—On account of John Bradley, 21 fat wethers at 325, 16 fat owes at 30s. On account of T. Staines, 2G small ewes at 21s. On account of R. A. Hareourt. 3 bullocks at £lO 2s Gd, 2 at £ll 15s, 3 at £lO 12s Gd, 2 at £ll 15s, 2 at £lO 15s, 2 at £lO 17s Ihl. 2 at £lO 15s, 1 cow at £lO 2s Gd, 2 bullocks at £ll 12s Gd, 3 at £ll ss, 3 nt £l2 2s 6d. On account J. Harvey, 2 bullocks at £ll 15s, 2 at £lO 15s, 2 at £9 17s Gd, 4 at £lO 2s Gd, 2 nt £lO 12s Gd, 1 heifer at £7 15s, 2 bullocks at £lO 2s Gd. On account of client, 1 cow at £6 7s Gd, 1 vealer at £4, 2 cows at £4 7s Gd.
