ENGLAND v.-WEST INDIES. Australian Press Assn.— United Service LONDON, June 24. On the opening day of the test m: between England and West Indies, the former lost eight wickets for 382 runs. E. Tyldesley scored 122, and Chapman 50. Tyldesley was scratchy throughout. Hammond and Jardinc gave the v 'beet display. Tlio bowling of Constantine and Francis, combined with excellent slip fielding, restrained the scoring. (Received this day at 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, June 25. England in the first innings made 401. Constantino took 4 for "82. West Indies in the first innings made 177. Jupp took 4 for 37. The visitors followed on and have lost 0 for 55.
